There are various types of knives you can find in the market, that are used for numerous different types of kitchen work. One such knife is the utility knife.

Utility Knives are very important kitchen appliances that are used for chopping big apples, small squash, cucumbers and many other things that can not be  cut by a paring knife and chef's knife. You can also cut shallots, fruits, herbs, vegetables and larger pieces of garlic with utility knives . The  blade of this knife is slightly larger than a paring knife, which is  around six inches long. There are two types of blades that you will mostly find in utility knives and those blades are - straight-edge blade and serrated blade.
